The Barbwire Blog Midseason Report: Kat Green Vs. Everyone

On the wrestling scene, there are those with talent and there are those who don’t. And Kat Green has the talent. In Her second year of competition, she had proven herself to be one of the best up-and-coming women’s wrestling stars in this decade. And given her recent track record, she has shown some tremendous progress.

Although she is one of the top contenders for the NWA Women’s World Championship, she has always fallen short, first from the rugged veteran Kacee Carlisle and more recently it’s current titleholder Barbi Hayden. It’s tough to get on top of the women’s wrestling mountain when there’s someone always knocking you down from it. For Kat, it’s going to be a tough climb to the top. It’s odd that the NWA doesn’t seem to realize the true potential of the talented Ms. Green, whom has shown a lot of great promise in her young career, and hopefully down the line there might be gold in her future as well.

Kat also has her fair share of battles in her home promotion NWA Wrestling Revolution, being embroiled in a feud with Shooter Roberts, and later she beat him, showing why women do belong in the ring. Kat has made a lot of enemies in the old NWA as of late, but look for more to come.

For Kat to get the ball rolling in the second half, she has to shake off the losses to Barbi Hayden to become the new NWA Women’s World Champion, but that couldn’t be far off. Hopefully when the NWA makes the match, Kat will be smarter and a little wiser than her defeats. Also, when we announce the winner of our Future Legend Award, look for her to be a solid favorite to win and a heavy favorite to be nominated.
